This Helly Hansen waterproof jacket has fibers that combined with a special treatment does not allow water to pass through. Primaloft insulation, in addition to protecting the cold and water from getting in the shelter, also ensures that it is very soft to the touch.

Durable water repellency treatment. Durable water repellency treatment is added to the outer fabrics to make them more waterproof and breathable. The hydrophobic treatment makes water, snow and dirt shed off and help maintain waterproofness and breathability performance long term.

Fully seam sealed construction for 100% waterproof construction. Fully seam sealed constructions using Helly Tech® certified fabrics ensure a 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable garment for the full garment life.
CHIN GUARD
Anti-chafe chin guard for a protective and comfortable fit. Chin guard protects chin from chafing from zippers and other materials when collar is zippered up. Enables a snug and protective fit over longer periods of time.
ADJUSTABLE HEM
Adjustable hem at bottom, either with buttons or Velcro for individual fit and comfort. The adjustable hem ensures an individual fit to improve comfort and functionality. Adjustable hem can also be used for additional venting and improved mechanical ventilation under activity.

Adjustable cuff, either with Velcro or buttons for individual fit and comfort. Adjustable cuffs ensure an individual fit to improve comfort and functionality. 2PLY CONSTRUCTION
Waterproof breathable 2-layer fabric construction. A protective outer fabric is bonded with Helly Tech® membrane or coating for long lasting waterproofness and durability. The membrane or coating is protected by a hanging lining on the inside adding warmth and omfort. The outer fabric is protected by a durable water repellency treatment to enhance long term waterproofness and breathability.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. This jacket has held up to heavy rain and sledding in the snow. I love the longer length for biking to keep my back warm on cold days. This is plenty warm for 30-40F days with a light sweater underneath. And much less bulky than other jackets I tried (Lole Piper Insulated or Eddie Bauer- Girl on the Go).
