The fins are lightweight, small enough to bring on travels and easy to swim with. I bought the fins for my son (14 y/o, shoe size 40). Size M-L fits him perfectly, both with a pair of 3 mm scuba pro boots and without. I tried them too but could not fit my size 43 Mares Equator boot in the foot compartment so I used them without boots which worked perfectly. My feet a a bit wider than my son’s. If I would buy a pair for myself I would buy one size larger.
